Annelisa Leinbach

Originally from Arizona, USA, I was raised in a family of geologists and took my first artistic inspiration from the spiritual power and vibrant color of the desert landscape. My work explores color and light, spiritual journeys, and feminine erotic power. I am constantly seeking a synthesis between the energy of the Berlin social scene and the more remote natural spaces which I also inhabit. I start by making sketches outside in nature or portraits of my subjects and then modify the colors according to my emotional frequencies, remaking the sketches as larger paintings to create an ethereal neon dreamworld.
